Drooling.

SO. I found these Balenciaga stilettos at Winners this week post lunch, while aimlessly wandering around the college and bay. Can u believe?! They were only $600 and my size! I was so bewildered I didn’t even try them on. Such cruel eye candy. I’m sure they will make some rich and incredibly lucky girl very happy…:( haha. sigh…Maybe in my next life.

This just in!

Courtesy of a best friend, who happens to know everything there is to know about the infamous show The Office, I have some delightful news. It has been announced that Will Ferrell will be joining the cast! He will be playing a branch manager from the home office who seems to be equally as …um… eccentric as Michael Scott.

“Three episodes will feature Carell and Ferrell together (they’re not co-workers, they’re co-people), then Ferrell will have one episode working with thegang solo after Carell departs (he’s leaving the show four episodes before the season finale, you’ll recall).” - James Hibberd, Enertainment Weekly

We’re all concerned and saddened to see Carell leave the show but this is going to be something great. Most likely a mix between Fergie and Jesus. I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t be more excited!!!

This seems to be part of a designer movement whose Muse is the ever fashion forward, modern man. Designers like Vivian Westwood, J.P.G, and Umit Benan are showing a more masculine version of what was once only worn by women. I appreciate that fashion IS about dissolving boundaries, but to be honest, I really do not see any of these trends catching on anytime soon in the T Dot Oh.

Below are a few pics for your viewing and critiquing pleasure.

THE BAILER -_-

You’ve spent the day trying to finish all of your errands on time. You’ve destroyed your closet to realize you have nothing to wear so you’ve gone out and bought something cute for the night. You’ve done your hair AND makeup when you get the “I think I’m stay in tonight” text.

Better yet those people who get you all excited to go out but when it comes time, is no where to be found. I mean they aren’t returning calls, txts, or emails. WTF. It was your idea to hangout. Why are you now avoiding me? Why do I now have to hunt you down to make sure your even alive???

There is nothing more upsetting than someone who decides to bail minutes before you’re about to go out.

Speaking of these infamous bailers I’m afraid to say this morning, I became one. Well kinda sorta. Little did I know that red eyes after a day of wearing contacts would turn into full-blown pinkeye. I mean some resident evil, 28 days shit (yum). And thus, I, the person who suggested we go out for a night of drunken fun, had to bail.

In my defence, I had a legit reason and called hours ahead of time.

If you cant go, or don’t want to go, cool. I understand, we’ve all had those days. But do not lie. 11am is a late to start work. If you felt sick why didn’t you say so earlier.

Lying is an art form that I’m not ashamed to say, I have yet to master.

2011: the year of the keeners.

Their homework is done days ahead of time. they begin reading the required texts before the semester even begins. they all have the right answers, all of the time. and yet, the keener is often socially awkward. Now since I have the social part pretty down pat (also spelled ‘down packed’, depending on your up bringing) I think its time to finally get some $#!* done.

My sister (P) and i have come to the conclusion that we need to jump on the keener bandwagon, or caravan in this case since I’ve been a gypsy for the past few months.

As a journalism student being keen happens to be pretty essential to making it, unfortunately it is very difficult to simultaneously have an active social life.

So shoot me for being in a new city and making the most of it. Is it really so bad that i choose to go to a party over re-writing lecture note? It’s not that I’m lazy or, academically challenged, it just gets a little tricky sometimes to stay on top of things (HA that’s what she said!). Seriously though, there are SO MANY distractions, slowly but surely I will get there o_O.

I vow to no longer do the following:

*just think about studying, I will actually study

*show up late for class

*start essays the night before

*Facebook creep in class

*fall asleep in class (don’t judge me. we’ve all done it once…or twice)

*only read half the book

This blog is step one to a new lifestyle, a keener lifestyle. To all of you out there I hope you welcome us with open arms.

Allow us to introduce ourselves….

SO. Since I’m just getting aquainted with this whole Tumblr thingy, I realiszed that the Intro post to the blog didn’t work. Yikes. My Bad.

The authors, (can I say authors?) of this blog are myself and my sister aka Forty Five aka Queen West West.

This blog is a product of our random thoughts, opinions, emotions, really whatever the hell we feel like posting. In short, its like most other blogs.

The name ‘i like her’ came from a game we frequently played as kids, between the ages of 4 and 12. It involved whatever magazine we could get our hands on, lightning fast analytical skills and knowledge of current fashion trends. Actually, it’s really difficult to explain. Lets just say as children, we played really weird games and were old beyond our years.

Well, that’s really all for now. Figured i should post SOMETHING to start, kind of depressing to start off a blog with a Blackface comparison no?

Love and lots of light,

-P
